About Empokoro

You don't have to navigate this alone

Life brings moments that stretch our emotional capacity, whether it be parenting challenges, fertility struggles, pregnancy anxiety, grief, or simply the weight of holding it all together. When emotions feel overwhelming, what most people need isn’t fixing, it’s support, safety, and tools that actually work.

That’s where Empokoro comes in.

Meet your Guide: Lise

An EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner, parent, and guide in emotional regulation and empowered transformation

I work with parents, children, and individuals navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy (including pregnancy after loss), and emotional overwhelm. I know how isolating these experiences can feel, and how powerful it is to be met with compassion, steadiness, and practical tools.

My role isn’t to tell you what to feel or how to heal. It’s to walk alongside you, help you understand what your nervous system is communicating, and guide you toward regulation, clarity, and resilience — at your pace.

What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a gentle, evidence-informed practice that combines focused awareness with tapping on specific acupressure points.

It helps calm the nervous system, reduce the intensity of overwhelming thoughts or sensations, and support emotional regulation in the moment.

EFT is practical, easy to learn, and gives you tools you can use anytime, not just during sessions. Over time, it also supports deeper emotional processing, building resilience, self-trust, and confidence.

Why it works:

  • Regulates emotions in the moment
  • Supports longer-term emotional processing
  • Provides practical tools for everyday life

How an EFT Practitioner Can Help

While EFT can be practiced on your own, working with a practitioner provides guidance, structure, and safety.

A practitioner:

  • Helps you identify emotional patterns and underlying triggers
  • Guides you through tapping safely, especially for intense or difficult emotions
  • Offers personalized strategies and adjustments to match your unique needs
  • Provides support, accountability, and clarity so your sessions are effective and empowering

With a practitioner, you gain both the skills to self-regulate and the confidence to navigate emotional challenges with more ease — creating results that last beyond each session.

A Supportive, Empowering Approach

At Empokoro, the work is collaborative, respectful, and grounded.

Sessions and programs are designed to:

Create emotional safety

Empower you with tools, not dependency

Honour both joy and grief (they can coexist)

Support regulation for both adults and children

Whether you’re working one-on-one, in a group, or through self-guided resources, the focus is always the same:

helping you feel more grounded, capable, and supported in your daily life.

The Meaning Behind Empokoro

Empokoro blends Empower with the Japanese word Kokoro (心) - meaning heart, mind, and spirit. It reflects the belief that true growth and healing happen when we feel supported as whole people, not just at a surface level.

At Empokoro, the work is about building emotional regulation, clarity, and inner strength, gently empowering individuals, parents, and families to navigate life’s challenges with greater steadiness, compassion, and intention.

The Logo

The circle and the phoenix

The Empokoro logo brings its meaning to life.

  • The circle represents wholeness, safety, and continuity, a reminder that healing is not linear and that you are already complete, even while growing.
  • The phoenix symbolizes transformation, renewal, and resilience, rising not because the fire didn’t hurt, but because growth was possible through it.

Together, they reflect the essence of this work: compassionate support through challenge, and the ability to rebuild emotional strength from within.

You are the Hero of This Story

Empokoro exists to support your journey — not to define it for you.

If you’re looking for a grounded, compassionate space to build emotional regulation, process what you’re carrying, and develop tools you can rely on long-term, I’d be honoured to support you.
